Ēostre 2024

Ēostre 2024

29/03/2024 20:00
Tryggvagata 22, 101 Reykjavík

Kælan Mikla (IS) virgin orchestra (IS) and Torch (DK) are throwing an easter concert on the Good Friday. We're going to celebrate Ēostre, the pagan goddess of fertility and dawn at this festival of the spring equinox. We are also going to hide eggs for you to search, with good prizes.

The night before, on Thursday March 28 from around 8pm, we are also going to hold a DJ night at Prikið and play our favourite music. You will be able to buy tickets directly from us, or just hang out and chat and listen to good music.

virgin orchestra is a two year old experimental post-punk band from Reykjavík. They released their first LP ‘fragmens’ last spring that was among other things chosen as ‘Album of the week’ at the National radio. They have been writing new stuff so you can expect a debut of new material.

Torch is a Aarhus-based darkwave collective composed of Benjamin Lind Holm, Ivik Rosing-Johsen and Josefine Hjulskov Valler. Drawing inspiration from gothic post-punk, melancholic cold wave, and hard hitting EBM, Torch invites you to expect distressing, longing songs, as well as bleak, hard bangers. Their music immerses you in a world of haunting melodies and evocative rhythms, evoking a range of emotions with each resonating note.

Kælan Mikla are a three-piece that has been an active part of the Icelandic music scene for the past decade. The music of Kælan Mikla revolves around nordic folklore, dreams, nightmares and anything in between. Their sound is described as equally eerie and ethereal, taking inspiration from multiple different genres.

Doors open at 20:00 and first band at 21:00

Ticket price: 2.500 in pre-sale and 3.000 by doors.
