2024’s Biggest Thursday brings you the Icelandic debut of DJ_Dave, New York’s breakthrough multi-talented live coder, DJ and producer. Already famed and in-demand for her hybrid techno DJ-live coding sets, and having slayed at Coachella and on tour with JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown, DJ_Dave will finally grace Reykjavík’s best sound system at Radar for a one-hour set that is not to be missed.

The unbelievably talented Smjörvi will play their longest live set to date, following the release of their incredible debut album svo heilagt! in November 2023, which was nominated in the Reykjavík Grapevine Music Awards 2024. Smjörvi’s songs sweep across genres and times with an elegance and ease that is bewitching, and their live performance is sure to be equally awe-inspiring and uplifting.

The mysterious and gifted live coder c_robo_ (US) will also make their Icelandic debut. Seemingly out of nowhere, c_robo_ has rapidly established themselves as the number one live coder to catch live. Fans of JPEGMAFIA all the way through to Autechre are going to lose their minds and bodies from the first second c_robo_ starts blasting their ultra-crunchy dancefloor-filling madness.

Ólöf Rún is a singer and producer. Her approach to music creation is from the perspective of a producer - she uses recordings, samples, and synths to create a dreamy and electrified sound world which she weaves together with finely crafted lyrics. They paint a dreamy, mysterious world and invite the listener to linger there for a while, while electrified tones float through the air.

Free Live Coding Workshops & More Events: The International Conference on Live Coding (ICLC) 2024, hosted by NYU Shanghai, China from May 30th to June 1st, has inspired a series of Satellite Events worldwide. In partnership with ICLC, Reykjavík City Library Music Makerspace, Intelligent Instruments Lab, Læti, and RASK, we are launching the local live coding scene by hosting free public workshops between 5-10 June.
