Hapé messa Huni kuin

With an open heart, we welcome you to a unique sacred ceremony where two holy rivers intertwine. 

The ceremony is held in deep respect for the traditions of the Huni Kuin people and the Santo Daime tradition. It is led by Pajé Pae Nawa, a spiritual leader, teacher, and indigenous medicine man from the Huni Kuin nation in the Brazilian Amazon. He will share sacred poems, healings, and wisdom of the forest through a traditional Huni Kuin Hapé ceremony. Hapé is a herbal forest blend that Pajé blows into the nostrils of those who wish to receive it. 

Joining him are Txana Ury and Txana Mêku, sacred musicians with roots in both Huni Kuin and Santo Daime. They will guide us through prayer songs and chants from both traditions. 

In the Santo Daime tradition, the message and connection to the divine are received through specific Santo Daime hymns dedicated to Jesus Christ, Mary, and Joseph. 

This is not a mixture of traditions. Each of them maintains its own independence and sacred space. The purpose is to build a bridge—a dialogue between two spiritual paths that both trace their roots back to the forest, rooted in love, humility, and responsibility. 

This will be an evening dedicated to prayer, song, unity, and healing. A night where we unite in the heart of Fríkirkjan in Reykjavík to remind ourselves of our connection to the earth, the sky, and each other.
