IÐNÓ SUNNUDAGINN 6 SEPTEMBER

Ath. Hátíðarpassi gildir á alla 5 dagana (þ.á.m. þennan viðburð).

PERILA
Perila is a St. Petersburg-born, Berlin-based sound and visual artist, DJ, performer and poet exploring sensitive borderlines and depths of subtle matter. Her practice centers around textures, tangibility and spatiality of field recorded sound, raw emotions, voice, poetry, body and change. Music as a healing and transformative agent; an invitation to open other layers of engagement with reality by means of deep listening, observation, presence and mutual dialogue with an audience.

Her performances and DJ sets are dense and intense narratives drifting through a rich sonic palette immersing a listener into a personal and sensual trip, while delicate poetry and soft voice breathe with a sense of closeness, desire and release. She aims to create other sound worlds to get lost and find oneself, to challenge and overcome boundaries and share this expansion with the Other.

Perila’s works have been released on Smalltown Supersound, Sferic, The Trilogy Tapes, Shelter Press, Longform Editions, Motion Ward, 3XL, Paralaxe Editions, Vaagner, Boomkat and Lillerne Tapes. She is the founder of WET: an online community featuring sensual podcasts with spoken word, poetry, ASMR, field recordings, and explorations of sonic sexuality.

ULLA
Ulla is a Berlin-based musician/composer renowned for crafting intricate and resonant ambient music—characterized by a vaporous blend of gliding electronics and electroacoustics, offering intimate and spectral soundscapes that invite deep listener engagement.

Since 2016, they have released several critically acclaimed albums, including Big Room (2019) and Tumbling Towards A Wall (2020), both praised for their depth and innovation. In 2022, Ulla introduced Foam, which incorporated piano, guitar, and chopped vocal fragments, presenting a glitchier sound, celebrated for its sound design, emotional depth, and its challenge to traditional ambient music conventions.

Ulla’s most recent work, Hometown Girl, released under the alias U.e. on their own label 28912, marks a departure from earlier electroacoustic and digital compositions, embracing a more acoustic approach with clean-toned guitar, woodwinds, and piano.

Throughout their career, Ulla has worked with an array of respected experimental labels such as Quiet Time, West Mineral Ltd., Motion Ward, Longform Editions, and 3XL. Through these works, Ulla has firmly established themselves as a true pioneer in experimental music.

YPY
YPY is the electronic music solo project of musician and composer Koshiro Hino.Alongside YPY, Hino is also active in KAKUHAN, a duo project with cellist Yuki Nakagawa, and leads the rhythm ensemble goat, which has received international recognition for its highly organized, repetition-based structures performed in a band format.

Through YPY, he works across multiple contexts—including club music, minimalism, noise, and contemporary music—developing a practice that moves fluidly between the dance floor and experimental sound.

As a composer, his major works include GEIST, a spatial sound performance using multiple loudspeakers and moving performers, and INTERDIFFUSION – A Tribute to Yoshi Wada, composed and performed in collaboration with sound artist FUJI|||||||||||TA.

His rhythm ensemble work Chronograffiti received the 26th Keizo Saji Prize (2025). He also composed the music for the feature film The Invisible Fight, for which he received the Best Composer Award at the Estonian Film Awards (EFTA 2024).

FRANCESCO FABRIS
Francesco Fabris is an Italian, Reykjavík-based interdisciplinary artist, composer, and musician working with live electronics, audiovisual pieces, multimedia installations, and recording productions.

His practice explores the translation of natural environments into abstract sonic and visual forms, merging digital and machine-driven processes with acoustic ecology, sound physics, field recordings, spatialization and data sonification, investigating the tension between expensive macrostructures and fragile, microscopic materialities.

His music has been released on labels including Bedroom Community (DISPLACES), Room40 (VAKNING, Meradalir w/ Ben Frost, STILL~AEOLIAN w/ Sandro Mussida), INNI, Until Riots, and his contributions span film, tv, theatre and opera, with credits including the OSCAR and BAFTA-winning score All Quiet on the Western Front, DARK, Conclave, Dune: Prophecy, Fresh, Silo, and more.

You can also purchase a Festival Pass for ISK 19,900, which is valid for all events at the festival. See here.
